As General Peter Pace, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, stated in an interview with the Voice of America, “We know that the explosively formed projectiles are manufactured in Iran,” Pace told Voice of America during a visit to Australia. “What I would not say is that the Iranian government, per se, knows about this.” Link to Voice of America article.

When pressed for substantive proof, the Administration officials only offer more rhetoric. As State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said, “The Iranians are up to their eyeballs in this activity.” He called the Baghdad presentation a “very strong circumstantial case,” saying he was “not going to try to embellish that briefing” and “any reasonable person . . . would draw the same conclusions.”

Yeah, right.

When I hear George Bush throwing about charges like this, I can only think back to the time just before we invaded Iraq, and wonder if perhaps Bush is now trying to trump-up a case to invade Iran. One last conquest to make the world a safe place?

Lies, deceit and more lies. That’s all we ever get from George Bush.
If IED’s are blowing up American soldiers, I would give odds that’s it’s more likely the explosives are made in the USA, or possibly Russia – but not Iran (and probably assembled in Iraq). The United States is by far the biggest whore in the arms business (with Russia and France as two and three, respectively). We’ll sell to anyone with a buck.

George Bush is not at all credible when he speaks about the Iranian influence in Iraq.

Congress needs to muzzle Bush before he drags us into yet another un-just war.
